Biography
Daniel Cohen
Daniel Cohen is a seasoned and bilingual Clinical Manager at Beyond Expectation Psychological Services. With over 40 years of experience in psychology and social work, Daniel brings a deep well of knowledge and insight to the clients he serves. Born and raised in Panama, Daniel arrived in the United States at 19 as an exchange student intending to stay for just six months—but a love for human connection, learning, and healing turned that short visit into a lifelong calling.
Raised in a family steeped in medicine and education, Daniel was inspired early by his aunt, a psychiatrist, and his older brother, a psychiatric nurse. This environment ignited his passion for supporting mental health and led him to pursue dual training in psychology and social work. Throughout his career, Daniel has worked across multiple states and agencies, accumulating decades of practical and clinical expertise that inform his client-centered, culturally responsive approach to therapy.
He relocated to Las Vegas in 2013, drawn to the warmth of the region and the opportunities to serve diverse populations. In sessions, Daniel emphasizes being fully present, offering each client a grounded, compassionate space in which to feel seen, supported, and empowered. His bilingual skills allow him to connect meaningfully with both English and Spanish-speaking clients, helping bridge communication and cultural gaps with empathy and authenticity.
Outside the office, Daniel enjoys cooking and is known for creating flavorful meals that nourish both body and spirit. His commitment to his craft is evident in the moment-to-moment connections he forms with clients—connections rooted in respect, presence, and hope.
